Interior Styles We Love for Fall 2023: 8 Gothic Inspired Rooms

Author: vonsassy | Last Updated: September 17, 2024

Hello and happy fall season to our friends in the northern hemisphere!

On the heels of our popular interior design vs. fashion post that reimagined Pinterest fashion trends for interiors, we’ve decided to keep going with the creative imagery.

In this post we are diving into a fun new series on interior design styles for different seasons. We’ve imagined these interiors using lots of clever spells, ahem, prompts, with the help of our favorite artificial intelligence text to image generation tool, Midjourney AI. We hope you enjoy the results as much as we did.

1. “Spider Vault Library” (Eclectic Traditional)

It’s too bad that reproducing a proper ribbed vault in the average interior is just not an option that’s in the renovation budget. A better option? Find an abandoned cathedral and simply update it for your modern tastes. It’s getting a tad chilly outside the last few days. It’s almost time for the first fire of fall in the new fireplace.

2. “Molten Point Parlor” – (Eclectic Traditional)

The five o’ clock shadows loom longer these days and the air is thin and hazy. It’s a good thing your remembered to light all of the candles in the drawing room of your smart-tech enabled medieval home. You might even have some company over for dinner. Someone one of Dracula’s predecessors recommended.

3. “Elegant Gothica Lounge” (Eclectic Traditional)

When you want your home to be as cute as a button, but you’re also dead inside, interesting and even beautiful work might be the result. Hey, you might even find yourself the envy of Tim Burton’s most glamorous set builders.

Besides, it’s going to be a lovely chat with the girls over high tea and the sounds of the hunt in the distance. Happy Fall!

4. “Ivory Luxe Gothic Drawing Room” (Eclectic Traditional)

You have richly refined tastes and a lust for exotic interior treatments, finishes and decor. The drawing room is every bit as luxurious as you imagined it would be, but you can’t help wondering if it needs some fur. Of course expensive faux, and definitely bearskin.

5. “Dark Romanesque” (Eclectic Traditional)

For those who like the warmth without the void of too much depth, there are marble floors (heated, of course!) and copper-gold accents to brighten the darkening fall days. This room manages to feel glamorous while still being comfortable and inviting. The deep hues of the seating arrangement anchored by the rich floor treatment ground the space and keep it from feeling too celestial.

6. “Gothica Nova Lounge” (Modern Eclectic)

The architecture is a completely modern and parametric take on the gothic theme, with some whimsical touches. The dark contrasts work to give the space a modern-eclectic vibe, as opposed to pure modern which in its purist form would be white and bright, or at the very least monochromatic. The modular sofa is a perfect hue for our fall theme and draws the eye toward the outstanding fireplace. This room is Italian mode vibes all over.

7. “Pointe Noir” Reception (Eclectic)

This stunning arrangement is dark and moody the same way chocolate is. Lovers of dark chocolate, in particular, will pick up on the deep vibes of this new gothic space. The hardwood wall paneling is handsome with its pointed gothic arches, yet light in its interpretation of the gothic style. It’s a more eclectic type of gothic, and the modern furniture only adds to this eclecticism.

8. “Cathedral of Light Parlor” (Eclectic Traditional)

We end with another beautiful, vaulted room featuring large windows that combine a mix of modern and traditional. The heavy atmosphere is enhanced by the grand hanging chandeliers and the grand candelabras with their glowing lamps. The sofa looks regal and inviting, setting the stage for an interesting, and perhaps even a Hallowed evening. It gets even more interesting after midnight, or so we’ve heard.

We hope you enjoyed this lighthearted look at interior designs that are perfect for fall vibes. Besides gothic, we will be doing a few others that we think fit the bill in future episodes.
